NOT WORKING on Ubuntu Dapper flight 3: three items

1- applications > accessories > text editor
I get the error message: the application gedit has quit unexpectedly (actually it never open)

2- applications > accessories > à la carte menu editor
timer is activated (the watch) and then nothing occurs

3- appli > add appli OR system > admin > add appli
nothing happens

I didn't test 2, but 1 and 3 work fine for me (breezy dist-upgraded to dapper, up-to-date). Can you try running :

gedit (for 1)

and

gnome-app-install (for 3)

from a terminal (Applications->Accessories) ?

1- gedit from a console : $ gedit
no change : the application has quit unexpectedly

3- $ gnome-app-install
a big mess!!!
import pygtk ; pygtk.require ("2.0")
import error: no module named pygtk

So no difference, doesn't work either! sorry

Confirmed on flight-3/dapper-live-i386 with default settings. Exactly same results.

If that still happens, Flight 3 is already a bit old, would you please make 3 separate bug reports for each items. It's much easier to track reports when they have a precise target package and a complete title. Thank you for your cooperating.
