Bug Description
Binary package hint: xserver-
By default Ubuntu uses VESA for ati 4650.
The binary driver for ati does not support the 4650 (it only supports 48xx out of the 4xxx) series. I have tried both the restricted driver that you get by clicking the picture of the card on the panel and the latest ATI drivers (ati-driver-

Although Ubuntu cannot fix ATIs closed source drivers, it would be nice if there was some 3D acceleration and support for high LCD resolutions (perhaps via the open source drivers).
