Cannot add extensions to openoffice 3.0

Bug Description
I recently added openoffice 3.0 to Intrepid Beta through backports.
When I try to add extensions (like the pdfimport extension) via the Extension Manager, I can select the extension file, but it will not complete installing. Instead a warning message comes up with, "unable to load component library". All installed parts of openoffice are version 1:3.0.0 according to Synaptic.
