kickoff doesn't display correctly on dell mini 9

Using a Dell Mini 9 Kickoff is not formated correctly and can't resize small enough to fit entirely in the screen. Laptop display is 1000 X 600. In Fedora 10 it is scaled correctly to fit correctly in the small display.

Trying to get a snapshot, but when I use KSNapshot switching between
ksnapshot and application launcher. When I select the application launcher
the User portion and the Kubuntu icon is cut off. I can't resize it. In
Fedora 9 and 10 I do not have this problem
