Update manager does not install updates

Bug Description

Binary package hint: gnome-panel

I have found problem in Update Manager. Although program reported was WM_CLASS(STRING) = "gnome-panel", "Gnome-panel"
OS=Ubuntu 8.04.1
Release: 8.04
Version of the package:
  Instalirano: 1:2.22.2-0ubuntu1.1
  Kandidat: 1:2.22.2-0ubuntu1.1
  Tablica verzije:
*** 1:2.22.2-0ubuntu1.1 0

I expected that updates are installed, but it did not.

Thanks for your bugreport.

Could you please attach the file /var/log/apt/term.log to this bugreport?

Unfortunately I have tried to update today again so there is no old one "term.log" file. Today update was also unsuccessful but term.log is empty. So I can't upload it to the bug report.
