Bug Description
I upgraded from hardy to intrepid using update-manager -d, and now my Thinkpad's middle mouse scrolling has broken in X. That's not what I'm here to report though! :-)
I went to fix it in xorg.conf, and found the config largely commented out, and littered with this line:
# commented out by update-manager, HAL is now used
OK, great -- so I know update-manager changed the file, but I have no information on how to fix it. I'm used to fixing X in xorg.conf, and don't know much (anything!) about HAL. It would be nice if the comment provided a pointer to some documentation so that I can fix my X problems!
