The tab is removed by upstream because the functionality provided by service previously is now available as plugins. So there is no need to configure the plugins.

I don't understand how I'm supposed to manipulate or change any of the services then. The DBUS commands don't appear to work, and now there is no GUI way to do it.

So same problem for me....
How I supposed to do this..??
Wasn't it like I could add or allow Services for particular devices?
How can I unlook the OBEX service for my mobile?
So now in this state it simply doesn't work.
When I call the service list from my Phone from my Notebook, my phone says there are no services..

Since you say the services tab was removed (however I was unable to find any info about this issue), Can you please point us to a recommended way of managing the bluetooth services ? (i.e. enabling/disabling the audio service? )

why nobody cares about this?
It would be good if somebody can post a explanation or convert this bug to a Question or whatever...
In my point of view it is a bug because it makes bluetooth unusable for some scenarios.

I hate to add a "me too," but ME TOO. Without a way to configure the services I can't even find out if a service is actually running or running the way it needs to. My bluetooth headphones worked perfectly in Hardy, but ever since I upgraded to Intrepid a month ago I can't get a peep out of them. I have spent at least a hundred hours searching for solutions and trying suggestions from how-tos without luck. I suspect the audio services are not running, but no one can tell me how to find out for sure. Command line would be fine. Just tell me what the command is!

Setting this to confirmed as I can confirm this bug and AFAIK "Incomplete" was the wrong status since it is for when developers or triagers have requested missing information which is not the case here.

Also I could not find the mentioned plugins in the repositories.

The services tab is not coming back in an enhancement with Ubuntu. If you disagree with this, please talk to upstream.

Running jaunty up to date, services tab is nowhere to be found.
Does this mean there's no way to turn services on and off from gnome?
Talk to upstream? Am I the only one that thinks this is ridiculous?
A clear loss of functionality with a won't fix tag, amazing!
