cannot create i686 guest on x86_64 host

Binary package hint: virt-manager

I cannot create an i686 guest in virt-manager 0.5.4-2ubuntu1. When I select i686, the hypervisor field goes blank (it is 'kvm' when creating a x86_64 guest). I can continue all the way to the end of the wizard, and after clicking 'Finish', I get an 'Unable to complete install' error:

I can confirm this bug.

I have this as well, cannot use virtmanager at all. 5 months this bug has been logged and no response??? can't find much about it on the net except to try install qemu but that makes no difference.

Please help!

Just tested this on Jaunty with virt-manager 0.6.1-1ubuntu4 and it works fine.
