it does not configure the time zone

Installation stops before configures the time zone, and comes back to the menu of debian-installer, having that to jump toward proximo step that is the configuration of the accounts.

What version of Ubuntu are you installing?

Please provide /var/log/syslog from the installer. The "Save Debug Logs"
item on the main menu may help you to extract it.

Reproduced. debconf is returning "100 internal error" when asked to input time/zone; hmm.

This is an error in the pt_BR translation for tzsetup/country/BR. I'll bring it up upstream.
