Bug Description
Binary package hint: xfce4
I'm using Intrepid Beta upgraded from Hardy which was upgraded from Gutsy. The nvidia kernel I am using is nvidia-
When I run the nvidia-settings tool and choose to configure the second monitor with twinview, after I hit apply the second monitor displays the bottom half of the desktop background and is not usable. What I should see is my original xfce4 session stretched across two displays.
If I open the xfce4 settings manager -> Window Manger Tweaks and toggle Compositing off the full, stretched desktop appears as it should. I can then re-enable Compositing and the stretched desktop works as expected.
Thank you for taking the time to report this bug and helping to make Ubuntu better. The issue that you reported is one that should be reproducible with the final release of Intrepid Ibex 8.10. We were wondering is this still an issue for you? Can you try with latest Ubuntu release? Thanks again and we appreciate your help.
