Bug Description

Binary package hint: kernel-image-2.6.27-7-generic-di

INSYS GameForce.8761SU

Chipset:
• SiS© 671DX + SiS968
Intel Pentium Dual Core T2390 1.86Mhz
Nvidia 9300M GS 256Mb
4Gb RAM

I have installed Ubuntu alpha 4 and is fully update/upgraded.

In order to boot ubuntu I have to include the option nohz=off, otherwise the boot freezes.

I notice that ubuntu is very slow. Opening the software and operating is slower than normal. For Example, it takes more than 10 seconds to open firefox, and 1-2 seconds to start appear the cursor to write the links of the pages. and the letters do not show up immediately after typing.

What can I check in order to find a solution for this?

Per a decision made by the Ubuntu Kernel Team, bugs will longer be assigned to the ubuntu-kernel-team in Launchpad as part of the bug triage process. The ubuntu-kernel-team is being unassigned from this bug report. Refer to https://wiki.ubuntu.com/KernelTeamBugPolicies for more information. Thanks.
