Bug Description

Hi,

I have dual screen setup with 1024x768 and 1280x1024 screens. Desktop is expanded over both of them so I can drag application windows from one screen to the other.

I have following in xorg.conf to enable above configuration.
 SubSection "Display"
  Virtual 2304 1110
 EndSubSection

video hardware is intel 945gm

I have following problems:
- when using this setup, right click menu on desktop does not open. When using only one screen, it works.
- After logon mouse movement is restricted to upper left corner area of desktop about the size of my smaller monitor (1024x768). Mouse movment is enabled to all desktop when I first click on desktop.
- desktop background image is not expanded but is tiled and there is no possibility to change that because of not working desktop right click menu.
- external monitor is flickering to black couple of times after logon
- when alternating booting between one screen and dual screen, when in dualscreen mode, some icons on desktop are in upper left area of my desktop which is not visible because my leftside monitor is smaller. Normal behavior should be that all icons are moved to visible area of desktop only. When maximizing window on screen which lower visible border is not at the bottom of desktop, window is maximised to the bottom of desktop and lower part of windows (statusbar, etc.) becomes hidden. Normal should be to maximize to the visible portion of desktop.

Most of these symptoms do not exist when I boot up with only laptop monitor and then add external screen dynamically, using display settings applet.

This is also dependent on virtual screen size (intel driver 2048x2048 limitation??), i.e. when I shift monitors in display applet to certain amount so that virtual screen becomes too big, these sympotms still appear.

Hi erkiha,

Please attach the output of `lspci -vvnn`, and attach your /var/log/Xorg.0.log file from after reproducing this issue. If you've made any customizations to your /etc/X11/xorg.conf please attach that as well.
