Are you still experiencing these crashes? Where they reproducible or erratic before? What Ubuntu release are you currently using?

They were reproducible before, AFAIR I dealt with the crash by switching to nm PPA or something.
I'm on Lucid with standard repos now, so I believe it has been fixed long ago.
