Bug Description
It's impossible to watch videos (or DVDs) because it would constantly jitter, eating CPU like chocolate. Turned out DMA transfer was disabled. Enabled it, played one. A few days later, everything screwed again. Must have been some update I think.

I put the "hdparm parameters" at /etc/rc.d/rc.local. These parameters turn on dma. ex: hdparm -d1 /dev/hdc
once hdc is a dvd driver.
