Bug Description

When trying to install iceweasel in Intrepid, I'm getting this error:
iceweasel-vimperator: Depende: iceweasel (>= 3.0~) pero no es instalable

Iceweasel references should be changed to Firefox

Changed in vimperator:

debdiff with the changes.
Also, changed binary name to vimperator instead of iceweasel-vimperator.

Installs fine, and appears in extension tab.

.dirs is happening implicitly by .links and .install so adding it isnt
necessary.

Otherwise looks good.

err, why do we need to install install.rdf and chrome.manifest and not
the chrome jars et al? Was that broken in general? Should be mentioned
in changelog imo.

Hello fabrice_sp,

There is abrowser package, which is unbranded Firefox 3. Please add
optional dependency to it, along other suggested changes.

Thank you.

Debdiff with the changes and a clenar way of installing.
Anyway, after installation, the extension is not working, even if it appears in the extension lists...

Since we get the packages from debian I wonder whether it works there
at all. Can you test and if not file a bug against debian package?

Thanks!

Hi,

This package is working in Lenny. I'll install a VM with Jaunty to test this package

Hi. I confirm this is not working in Jaunty, so it has to be because of a difference between Firefox and Iceweasel that I didn't saw.

It is because the depends on iceweasel-vimperator only depends on
iceweasel. The package i have done as ice* and all our browsers. That is
main reason to get the package pushed and all ice*-extensions out of
autosync and use ours and push ours to Debian.

Hi,

I hasn't been clear in my previous message: I wanted to say that the package I adapted with my debdiff is not working. Obviously, the debian version is not installable in Jaunty, because of dependencies.

Anyway, I don't have any personal interest in this package, so it can even been dropped/not synced.

Cheers,
Fabrice

Dropping all iceweasel-* is the best idea since they are all the same.
the packages i have done for this are at:
https://launchpad.net/~gnomefreak/+archive/ppa/+sourcepub/470438/+listing-archive-extra

It is installable and runs as it should.

Please refer to bug #306229 for the removing ice* packages from auto
sync. Fabrice: I understand your position on this package but i left
this reply for everyone that has doubts on why it should be packaged for
Ubuntu by dropping the ice* packages from auto sync
