Bug Description

After the upgrade to Ubuntu Dapper, direct rendering has stopped to work under X11 with my Matrox G450.

The file Xorg.log shows the following error, which never appeared under Breezy :

(II) MGA(0): [drm] installed DRM signal handler
(II) MGA(0): [DRI] installation complete
(EE) MGA(0): [drm] Failed to map DMA buffers list
(II) MGA(0): [drm] removed 1 reserved context for kernel
(II) MGA(0): [drm] unmapping 8192 bytes of SAREA 0xe0d1f000 at 0xb5104000
(WW) MGA(0): Direct rendering disabled

I don't exactly know if this error is a bug in libdrm, the kernel or the mga-driver, so i selected the driver, because other cards (e.g. ATI Rage Pro, Radeon 9600) work perfectly with its own drivers ("ati").

Sorry,

Duplicate of bug #27442. But the suggested fix (loading module "glx" before "GLcore") does not work.
