The dillo project seems to have released version 2.0 with what seems to be significant updates.

While I understand that Ubuntu is under a freeze at this time, I was wondering if it would possible to update this package for 8.10 if time permits.

I'd like to second this request. Also:
1) the linked .debs work for me just fine
2) dillo 2.0-1 works *much* better than 0.8 - it is faster, it renders better, and it's prettier.

Dillo 2.1 is out now with basic css and ssl support. Could the package be added to Ubuntu 9.04?

I'm the Debian maintainer of the Debian package. No, dillo2.1 canno be uploaded, it requires fltk2 but it has some license issues so it cannot be uploaded in Debian/Ubuntu, I hope fltk2 devs will fix the license ASAP....
