Bug Description

When I unmount my USB-connected harddrive partition (/dev/sda1) via the context menu of the icon on the desktop, i get an error message telling me: "Unable to eject media". The details say "eject: unable to eject, last error: Invalid argument".

In fact the harddisk is unmounted cleanly.

Calling pumount alone in a terminal works as expected. Calling eject on this device prints out the same error as in the details of the error dialog in Gnome.

For me it seems like Ubuntu assumes this to be a CD/DVD drive and calls "eject", which is wrong.

I think this behavior was introduced with Breezy and wasn't there in Hoary. It still exists on the live CD of Dapper flight 2.
