Bug Description
Samsung Q35 laptop
Every second or third boot (mostly every second boot), the boot hangs at the first 8th of the progress bar on the splash screen.
How do I make it boot without the splash screen so that I can see what is hanging? Or is there a log I can attach here?

Hi,
If you get the grub menu (with the list of kernels to choose from)
and press "e" you will be given a screen to change boot options.
If you go to the long line (probably the second of four) and press
"e" again you will be given a cursor to edit the options. All you do
is find and delete "splash" which will give you the text boot. Deleting
"quiet" will print more messages. You then press "enter" and then
"b" to boot.
Could you also post the output of "lspci -vvnn" so that we can see
what hardware you have, and "lsmod" so we can see what drivers
are in use.
Thanks,
James
