Realtek RTL8111/8168B still broken in Intrepid !!

Hello! Im Using intrepid-alternate-i386.iso, downloaded today (18th September 08)

My network card is ---> Realtek RTL8111/8168B

And my problem:

With a clean install, ubuntu dedects the device as r8169 <--- , but it is should be r8168

In the system logs, everything (DHCP config) works fine, no errors or something like that !

When i ping for example google, the ping works normally, it dedects the ip adress and reports like a normal ping the time of some milli-seconds.

BUT !!! When i open for example the update manager, email programm, firefox, wget,... it just keeps loading with no end ! NO error, just a very long loading time with NO success / loaded page.

It seems like ping is working but ( all ? ) ports like http, 80 are blocked !!

Btw: It worked with Ubuntu 8.04 and 7.10 and the older ones without any problems, just out of the box.

I read that this issue was already fixed in the beta version of intrepid but that is just wrong :-(

My laptop ---> AMilo xi 2528

I already tried to compile this linux driver from realtek ---> 8168-8.008.00

I also tried --_> "Script to Fix R8168 in Ubuntu Hardy" , it works file, compiles, install but still the same problem is described above

And using Vista, for example i just plugin my network cable and dhcp and so on configures and i have network connection, so the connection is not the problem!

Should i provide you a screenshot of the window "connection information" of the network manager? I think everthing there is good configured, dns, dhcp, ip, gateway,..

PLEASE HELP ME IM REALLY ANNOYED OF THIS CAUS THE NEW UBUNTU INTREPID IS SO COOL AND THE MOST IMPORTANT THING, THE NETWORK CONNECTION IS NOT WORKING

I suspect this bug to be a duplicate of bug #272896. Please check if executing the following line in a terminal session restores connectivity for you and let us know about the result:

sudo echo 0 > /proc/sys/net/ipv4/tcp_sack

I have to apply a minor correction to the command I mentioned above (the above version will not do any harm, but it will simply not work). Please execute the following command sequence:

sudo su -
echo 0 > /proc/sys/net/ipv4/tcp_sack
exit
