Bug Description
I use ubuntu breezy and firefox to print a website. The website contains transparent png and gif files.
The print preview shows the site correctly, but when i print this on my epson 875dc, those transparent graphics are printed with black background instead of the underlaying graphic.
regards, Sven

I'm not sure if this is the same bug, but anyway. I think this is a problem with gnome-print instead of firefox, given my problem.
I have a PDF file that has a graphic which I assume (but don't know for certain) has transparent areas. It's a graph, in fact. If opened and printed through Evince, the lines are printed as white and the rest pure solid black. The image is also sheared horizontally.
If I use pdf2ps on the PDF and open the resulting .ps file in Evince and print it, the problem is resolved.
I can't provide the PDF for copyright reasons, but I'll keep my eyes peeled for one that exhibits this behaviour that I can upload.
This also appears upstream, but attributed (incorrectly, again) to Gnumeric: http:// bugzilla. gnome.org/ show_bug. cgi?id= 324515
