Bug Description

Binary package hint: epiphany-extensions

The README file in epiphany-extensions only contains information about how to compile it and so is of no interest for the end user. It shouldn't be included in the binary package.

status: New → Confirmed

isn't that the case of almost every package in Debian/Ubuntu ?.

Nope. Documentation files should only be included in binary packages
if they have any useful information for the people using the package.
As the .deb's are already compiled and do not contain the source, it
doesn't make sense for them to explain how to compile them, and such a
README file only wastes disk space.

The epiphany-extensions package currently has no Ubuntu-specific delta. And I'd hate to see one added for this minor, yet valid issue. Siegfried, can you please try to get this fixed in Debian instead? I think that would be the proper route to take.
