Thank you for taking the time to report this bug and helping to make Ubuntu better. You reported this bug a while ago and there hasn't been any activity in it recently. We were wondering is this still an issue for you? Could you try to reproduce the same with Ubuntu 9.04? Thanks in advance.

This is still an issue for me on Intrepid(with proposed updates). I would be happy to test it out on Ubuntu 9.04 after it is at least beta. The issue comes and goes, so i have to use the system for a while to see the problem.

as far as I remember this was never resolved for me, but I am no longer using Gnome(now using kubuntu) so I can't really test this. If it helps the problem seemed to be rather random; some times it worked and some times it didn't; sorry can no longer help with this.
