Dapper: EOG distorts thumbnails in collection by upsampling/enlarging

EOG 2.13.3 showing a collection of small images
incorrectly scales them up to the size of the
thumbnail frame.
Bitmaps should never be upsampled (by default).

To replicate:
eog /usr/share/icons/hicolor/24x24/apps/*.png

In addition:
EOG also resamples the rendered pixmap of SVG images
incorrectly, displaying them in a distorted way.

To replicate:
eog /usr/share/icons/hicolor/scalable/apps/*.png
or any other scalable directory

Thanks for your bug. That works fine with 2.13.4 for me, do you still have that
issue with it?

Yes I checked, it's still there, isn't it? I occured to me to clear out the ~/.thumbnails cache.
Still, icons are upsampled.

Thanks for the screenshot, you were speaking about the collection feature in the
bottom of the window, not about a collection of png so :) I've forwarded the bug

Upstream comments about that:

"This bug is fixed for all formats but SVG. In fact, this was a libgnomeui bug
(See #328120). The SVG thumbnail is generated with the 'normal' thumbnail size
(128x128) but it has to be resized to fit the thumbnail area for EOG which is
96x96. This is why for some SVG, the thumbnail gets distorted.

Ok, I'll consider this bug solved. The SVG case is not really a bug. Feel free
to reopen it if you find any other problem on this issue."
