every time i shut down or restart my computer, i have to do it by holding down the power button. When I try to shut it down, it hangs on "Stopping ALSA..." but the [OK] never appears. What other information can I provide to be helpful?

Possible solve this problem short period?
Restart and shutdown not work with rc release my desktop Pc and my
Toshiba Satelite l300 notebook. The problem is same, the alsa daemon can
not stop and freeze the system.

Motherboard: Asus Mpv-mx
CPU: Athlon64X2, 3800+
Memory: 2x1 GB
Chipset: Nvidia Geforce 6100
Soundcard: Creative Audigy Ls
Graphics card: Nvidia Geforce 6100 (integrated with mainboard)
My laptop type is Toshiba Satelite l300.
I try tested this problem another machine (my friend desktop pc), the
