Bug Description

Binary package hint: kdebase-workspace-bin

I'm unable to log into kde4 session with a newly created user, however my years old user account works fine.(?) I've use Xephyr and launched startkde with the new user. In the nested X I get an xmessage about dbus not running.

So I tried starting dbus manually before startkde the same way it's initialized in startkde "eval `dbus-launch --sh-syntax --exit-with-session`", and ran startkde. KDE then starts fine for the new user.

Seems that I am able to log in via kdm when the session type is set to KDE but not when it's left on default.

Please run
ls -lah ~/.dmrc

I supsect that either you don't have write permissions on it,or it's content syntax is broken.
