Description:
CLAM is a full-fledged software framework for research and application development in the Audio and Music Domain. It offers a conceptual model as well as tools for the analysis, synthesis and transformation of audio signals.

Three main goals were defined as:

    * Complete: should include all utilities needed in a Sound Processing Project (input/output, processing, storage, display...)
    * Flexible: Easy to use and adapt to any kind of need.
    * Platform Independent: Compile under GNU/Linux, Windows and Mac platforms.

CLAM won the ACM Multimedia 2006 Open Source Competition http://www.mmdb.ece.ucsb.edu/acmmm06/opensource.html

CLAM is needed for the CLAM Music Annotator, which is an excellent tool for music analyses.
