A bug has already been opened in Skype bugtracker: https://developer.skype.com/jira/browse/SCL-403

We'll add the LD_PRELOAD hack only if there is no new upstream release of Skype.

Changed in medibuntu:
importance: Undecided → High
milestone: none → intrepid
status: New → Triaged

This is a problem that apparently is seen with every gspca Webcam.

I think, something must be still fixed in the Kernel or in the modules. Or maybe in the V4L and V4L2.

Cheese works for me now!

I think the best method be using LD_PRELOAD. When I use it with the new version of libv4l it works very well!
