kmail send mail setup causes send mail not to work

Bug Description

When sendmail server is changed, the old setup is not replaced and it still tries to send on the old set up although the new setup is in the server tab. Also, when new mail send server server is added, the apply at bottom is greyed out.

When deleting a server, the whole setup should be deleted and replaced with new setup.
This bug is potentially serious because it prohibits sending mail in Inteprid Beta

I am using kubuntu 4.1.2 beta with kmal 1.10.1.

Also if i add a second sendmail server new, it does not send mail if i use the send queued messages.
I think that once the sendmail system cannot send for whatever reason, it blocks the sendmail even if the correct server is added. There is therefore 2 problems in sendmail.

This bug confirmed in latest Kmail system ( Interprid Kubuntu Beta today )and is a killer because it prevents sending of mail when server is changed. Must be sorted before Interprid release and escalated.

This still so in kde 3.5.10 and 4.2RC1.
I worked around it by using the special mail transport in the accounts, but is a bug which must be fixed.
When the sending mail server is changed, it must accept the change, update all the configuration files and work with the new transport.

Hi Hein!

Thanks for reporting this bug! Your bug seems to be a problem with the KDE program itself, and not with our KDE packages. While we appreciate your issue, it would be better if it was tracked at https://bugs.kde.org, so that the KDE developers can deal with this speedily and have direct communication with you as the reporter for more effective debugging.

Thanks!
