Bug Description

Binary package hint: miro

// UBUNTU
Package is Ubuntu 8.10 Intrepid (beta) amd64-arch.

// PACKAGE
Miro is version 1.2.6-0ubuntu1, internal version of Miro is revision 7691 on buildtime 1219024363.32 by builder buildd@palmer.

// EXPECTED OUTCOME
Playing a video instead of crashing / freezing

// REPRODUCE
(1) start miro
(2) subscribe to any videocast (e.g. "HD - NASA Jet Propulsion Laboratory")
(3) download a video (e.g. 08th Oct 2008, "Video: News from Saturn")
(4) after download click the video to let it play
Last action results in either a crash or a freeze.

// POSSIBLE DEFECTS
Problem occurs on all videos I have, which are all mpeg4 (.m4v or .mp4), so the problem might be in the x264-decoding lib.
