sounds like a corrupt localstore

try just renaming your localstore.rdf , restart ff, and see if that fixes things. If so, please post the old .rdf here.

Thanks.

I can confirm the same problem and I confirm that this renaming solved my problem!
Yesterday I could navigate with Firefox without problems, with all my bookmarks, history, etc. There was no crash, I simply closed it and today, when I opened it, my bookmarks and history disappeared.

This is my Firefox/Ubuntu version:
Mozilla/5.0 (X11; U; Linux i686; es-ES; rv:1.9.0.3) Gecko/2008092510 Ubuntu/8.04 (hardy) Firefox/3.0.3

I include as an attachment my old localstore.rdf that caused the problem.

Thank you very much!

Sorry for my confusion...I think I have renamed the bad file, but it seemed to work (extension.rdf instead of localstore.rdf). As I'm not sure what has happened, I will try to reproduce the error again. What is true is that after this renaming I made, the problem was solved.
