Bug Description

Intrepid beta, upgraded from hardy via update-manager.

Running gnome on 2 monitors, in separate-x-screen mode. Click on a quick-launch icon, and a blank error dialog pops up, and won't go away. 'top' shows gnome-panel running at a high rate of CPU utilization. Killing the gnome-panel process makes gnome usable again.

Using nvidia driver (nvidia-glx-173 173.14.12-1-0ubuntu3), gnome panel 1:2.24.0-0ubuntu1, xserver-xorg 1:7.4~2ubuntu6.
