Bug Description

Binary package hint: kdebase

After updating from Hardy to Intrepid beta, I notice that I can't find Konsole in the KDE applications menu. I thought it used to be in "System" (and other terminals are usually in "Utilities"), but now I can't find it. I apologize if this has been reported before or if this is merely an artifact of my system. /usr/bin/konsole is there, and it will run if I call the command manually.

Oops. A new user, created after upgrading, seems to have Konsole just where it should be in the menu. I had deleted my .kde and .kde4 directories prior to upgrading in order to make sure I didn't have any configuration file incompatibilities with the new version of KDE, so I had assumed that there wouldn't be any difference between my old user account and a new one. I guess I don't know where information about the KDE menu is stored, then.

Deleted my .local directory, and Konsole re-appeared in the KDE menu. I don't remember doing anything with the .local directory or the KDE menu on purpose, but I assume this problem is probably related to some chance change in that folder and is not a problem that others would face. Sorry for taking up space here.
