Binary package hint: language-pack-he-base

A hebrew translation of gnucash was added in version 2.2.6 of gnucash (which is in interpid).

The attached gnucash.mo file should be added to the language-pack-he-base package in /usr/share/locale/he/LC_MESSAGES

We cannot directly put .po files into the langpack package sources, they are automatically built from Launchpad translations.

Hello, thanks for the quick reply.

This po file was released with the gnucash 2.2.6 release - you can also get it from the gnucash source.

I think it would be better to disable the launchpad translations for hebrew gnucash - I am managing the hebrew translation of gnucash and we already have 2 more people work on the translations, so if someone else wants to help it should be done on the upstream project and in coordination with us - otherwise we might have duplicate translations.

Just to be perfectly clear about this - the translation is packaged with the gnucash source, if it was an existing translation it would have been updated from the gnucash source, I guess that because this is a new translation which was only added to gnucash in 2.2.6 it does not appear in the language-pack. What needs to be done is only to update the language pack based on the upstream source package - then it should continue to be updated from the upstream package.

ok... a small misunderstanding.
gnucash's translation is not included on intrepid language packs, it's not being used on ubuntu translation pages.
the package "gnucash-common" installs all the translations gnucash has (including the Hebrew one).

i'm setting this bug as "Invalid" - there's nothing to fix here
