Bug Description
Binary package hint: rhythmbox
After several hours of running Rhythmbox [0.11.5] stops playback. Sometimes there is a error window "Couldn't start playback", sometimes there's just silence and sometimes the sound output consists of sound fragments.
This error occurs randomly after 1, 7, 16 hours. In general playback lasts for less than a day (my machine is always running and playing a radio stream) Usually I listen to a radio stream [http://
Terminal gives me the following information when I start rhythmbox:
(Rhythmbox): Rhythmbox-WARNING **: Could not open device /dev/radio0
And after stopping playback:
** (Rhythmbox): WARNING **: Side info bad: block_type == 0 in split block.
I upgraded my streaming-plugins to solve the first issue (anyway it didn't help), but I still don't know if there is a connection between both warnings.
There is also an entry in the user.log:
pulseaudio: module-also-sink.c: error opening PCM device front:0: device or resource busy
Because this was logged at about 1 AM, it probably is somehow connected with my problem.
(btw: I switched to Linux 2 months ago, running LinuxMint [ubuntu 8.04, kernel 2.6.24-19-generic, gnome 2.22.3])
