I've got this fixed but I still have to create a patch to submit.

I have this fixed in a version on my computer as well, I am in the process of changing over to a different interface. Drawers will use a toggle button with icon and label with a drop down menu on the side. This better adheres to the Gnome User interface guidelines. So it will look like this: [* Desktop 1] [ >] with the first button showing the desktop and windows and the other button showing the drop down to switch.

I thought I had this fixed and apparently I did not. You may just post your changes here if you do not want to create a patch. Thanks for your input Steve.
