Silly question, but has the transitional -amd package been purged already? If it hasn't, please purge it now.

You might wanna try the geode 2.9.0-1ubuntu2.5 that was just uploaded to hardy-proposed, also.

David, is this issue resolved using either 2.9.0-1ubuntu2.5 in hardy-updates, 2.10.1-3 in intrepid or 2.11.0-1 in jaunty?

Marking as incomplete due to a lack of confirmation as to whether 2.9.0-1ubuntu2.5 (hardy-proposed), 2.10.1-3build1 (intrepid) or 2.11.0-1 (jaunty) fixed the issue or not.

Btw, looking at /proc/cpuinfo from the attached tarball and at the above lspci dump, I'd guess we're dealing with hardware that has a Geode LX800 processor with a CS5536 companion chip.

Could you also provide more details about:

1. manufacturer and model number of the hardware?
2. manufacturer and issue date of the BIOS?
3. boot method? e.g. LTSP payload over PXE, IDE CompactFlash, etc.?

At the moment this issue is not reproducible and is not confirmed by any other pary. Without the hardware I'm not able to do any further testing. Marking the bug Invalid.
