same here, I cant see any panels or borders around firefox. switching to other applications is possible and the they are not effected.

It occurs since the update yesterday evening.

Having just upgraded from Hardy to Intrepid, I can confirm that the issue is still present. It's a major showstopper for average users trying to use Firefox. The current workaround seems to be to hit F11 (fullscreen) twice.

It was fixed with an update but i opened two firefox windows at the same time and the window manager is gone again, tested in two pcs, no window manager now, i have to press f11 twice every time i open firefox.
