Bug Description

While using the the network-directory-wizzard with "system:/remote" it is not possible to delete
or edit theses directories. The only solution is to hide them with a dot-prefix and to start a new
directory. (Kubuntu 5.10 with KDE 3.5)

Hello Lothar,
since I don't own Edgy Eft yet I can only speak for Dapper (6.06) - but with KDE 3.5.5 as well as Edgy now has:

The problem is here the same. I was not able to delete or edit a profile.

Hello Lothar!

* In Konqueror I use the overview "remote:/"
* It is not possible for me to delete any profile that I added.
* Neither is it possible to change a profile.

For example:
* It is possible to tell the connection-wizzard that it should change the directory on login. - Afterwards I can not modify this in Konquror.

* Like I wrote before it was a workaround instead of deleting a file to change the name to a hidden file with a dot as prefix.

Ah. Know i get the problem. These are the steps to reproduce it:

1.) Open Konqueror
2.) Browse remote:/
3.) Click on "Add new Network Folder" and create a new network folder (e.g.: ftp connection to ftp.kde.org)
4.) See that you cannot change or remove the newly created network folder.

This is valid for edgy, too. Thank you for reporting.

Here is another workaround I found.

switch to tree view

right click and choose >move to > Home folder

you can then go to your home folder and delete the file.

that is freaky.

Oh and I'm on opensuse 10.2
