The nickname dispalyed in IRC is incorrect when forced change

Bug Description

Binary package hint: pidgin

If I log in to an IRC-server with a, in pidgin selected nick, and the nick is forced changed by the server because some one else is logged in with that nick, my nick on the screen is still displayed as the nick set in pidgin, not the new name obtained.

Thank you for taking the time to report this bug and helping to make Ubuntu better. You reported this bug a while ago and there hasn't been any activity in it recently. We were wondering is this still an issue for you? Could you try to reproduce the same with Ubuntu 8.10 or 9.04? Thanks in advance.

When I now tested with Pidgin 2.5.2 on Ubuntu 8.10 it seems the problem has been resolved.
