I would like this feature too.
I think it allow the user to search for bug id and tag name. This would eliminate the need to add the bug id to the comments when committing a bug fix.
There is a drop down on the right of the search text box. Maybe this drop down should have a item called "All" that is selected by default. So if the user types in text it will search under the bug ids, tags, comments, authors, dates etc.
Then additional items called Bugs and Tags should be added so the user can search/filter on them specifically.
