Bug Description

Binary package hint: kmix

the kmix keys work fine in 8.10 beta, the problem is that they aren't very well 'calibrated'.
for instance when i press brightness up, it moves 2 brightness steps up, or if down, 2 down.
when i press sound up on the other hand, it only calls the process showing me how loud the sound is, but does not turn it up, nor down...
and mute on the other hand works, but doesnt lid up my led, like it should. it simply ignores the existence of the led.
im not sure where the config files are, but since you cant change these settings through proper menus, then they should probably be reconfigured so they will work on every pc.

(im using a compal fl90, just for the record)

Have the same problem
Kmix is not properly binded. "XF86AudioMute" mute front, XF86AudioLowerVolume and XF86AudioRaiseVolume are binding to PCM channel and both of them wath ever your chose at default channel.
It would normal be binded to the channel is choosed as default one.
Plus using PCM is not a good thing since the sound beging cripy when pcm is upper 90%

yes if you select pcm as the chosen one for kmix to mess with, then the % bar works, but if you do that(being that 'front' will be at a high-fixed value) you get some pretty loud startup sound. i dont know why startup doesnt consider your current sound volume instead of just 'front'. but maybe thats another bug... everything is weird in kubu anyways...

i hope this bug isnt ignored, it might lead to worse things later on...

 cheers guys.
