gray-out is not gone once clicked "stop script"

I have visited some page which is jammed by javascript, the firefox grayed out (effect of compiz) and popped dialog ask me to stop the script. When I choose "stop", the firefox gets back but it is still grayed unless i restart it.

My env: Ubuntu 8.04.1 - Firefox 3.0.3 - Compiz 0.7.4

Thank you for taking the time to report this bug and helping to make Ubuntu better. You reported this bug a while ago and there hasn't been any activity in it recently. We were wondering is this still an issue for you? Could you try to reproduce the same with Ubuntu 8.10 or 9.04? Thanks in advance.

I have the same bug. Ubuntu 8.04 and Firefox 3.05.

When I visit a site like t-nation:

the link for the next page is given by javascript:pager.gotoPage(2);
When I click the link, I get a screen that is half the new screen, half the previous page, and the screen darkens and stays dark for about 30 seconds
before the page loads as it should. When the screen is dark the whole desktop is locked, I cannot do anything.

Forgot to add that I don't get any pop-ups about javascript, just the darkening of the screen.

Since this report have a long time without activity, could you check (if is possible) in latest version included in Karmic if this issue is still happening? Additionally, I tried to reproduce this issue (trying to open that url everything goes right) using Ubuntu Karmic (up-to-date) and everything works fine here, Thanks in advance.
