Did you perform any changes to users/groups via System Settings -> Users & Group (add/remove user, change password...)?

No reply, so I suspect it is the same problem (fixed recently).

    Sorry Luka.
    I've been out.
The bug didn't repeat after a new installation. I probably messed
things I'm now with Ubuntu and everything works fine. Although I had an
annoying trick with Hal (hardware a. layer) and the Linux-686-smp cause
of the mps 1.4 of intel.
Thanks for your time. 'Til next ;-)
