Bug Description

Installation program doesn't start (either in default graphics mode or in safe mode chosen manually). After choosing the “Install Kubuntu on the computer” system starts and hangs just after launching X server. Only x-shaped mouse cursor can be seen is on the dark gray screen (cursor could be moved by mouse).

This seems to be working for me in a virtual machine, so I think it's a hardware-specific problem rather than an installer problem. Does the live CD start up if you select "Try Kubuntu"? If so, what happens if you click on the "Install" icon on the desktop?

I checked 'Try Kubuntu' option. System starts and I can run 'Install'
program - 'Ubiquity' starts.
