Bug Description
Binary package hint: totem
When I try to open a text .m3u playlist file with totem, it complains that it cannot open the playlist with the message: "GstDecodeBin: This appears to be a text file". The following messages are also output to the console:
** Message: Error: This appears to be a text file
gstdecodebin.
decodebin cannot decode plain text files
The particular playlist was just a one-file-per-line playlist I generated using shell scripts:
--david@
[~]$ listpodcasts.sh ~/docs/podcasts | grep -iv mp3 | cut -d' ' -f4 > /tmp/playlist.m3u
--david@
[~]$ cat /tmp/playlist.m3u
/home/david/
/home/david/
/home/david/
--david@
[~]$ totem /tmp/playlist.m3u
** Message: Error: This appears to be a text file
gstdecodebin.
decodebin cannot decode plain text files
I also get the same error if I try and open the playlist file from the menus, rather than passing it on the command line like above.
