Esd sound disturbed since ALSA upgrade to 1.0.9
I just did another update and upgrade via the standard red circle near clock on
top right corner of screen (synaptic).
Even after reboot problem exists.
My solution :- kill esd and restart it using ROOT !!! and voila! Perfect audio !

Thank you for taking the time to report this bug and helping to make Ubuntu better. /wiki.ubuntu. com/Bugs/ FindRightPackag e . I have classified this bug as a bug in esound.
This bug did not have a package associated with it, which is important for ensuring that it gets looked at by the proper developers. You can learn more about finding the right package at [WWW] https:/
Because it has been more than a year since this bug was open, I guess I should begin by asking if you think this workaround is still needed
with latest version? esd today, is mostly used for compatibility with older software, as in Gutsy it has mostly been replaced by pulse-audio (I think,
I am a bug triager, not a developer).
