Bug Description
Binary package hint: pidgin
Ubuntu:Intrepid
Kernel:
pidgin:2.5.1
gnome:2.24
under intrepid when pidgin is running it displays the status under the user switcher(in the gnome-panel). I have here 2 monitors that run on different xscreens, therefore I have to different gnome-panels, on the first the corresponding icon is shown correctly, on the second though there is only one icon for all statuses that's different than the on on the first screen, have a look at the screenshots below.
what should happen if I change my status via the "user switcher"? should the status in pidgin be changed, too?
because when I try to change the status via the user switcher nothing happens.

Thank you for taking the time to report this bug and helping to make Ubuntu better. You reported this bug a while ago and there hasn't been any activity in it recently. We were wondering is this still an issue for you? Could you try to reproduce the same with Ubuntu 8.10 or 9.04? Thanks in advance.
