Bug Description

Binary package hint: rhythmbox

To reproduce:

Start playing a MP3 file.
Press the visualization button on the tool bar.

Linux elrsr-01 2.6.27-4-generic #1 SMP Wed Sep 24 01:29:06 UTC 2008 x86_64 GNU/Linux
Beta installed and updated today.
Macbook Pro C2D.

xxx@xxxxx-01:~$ rhythmbox
The program 'rhythmbox' received an X Window System error.
This probably reflects a bug in the program.
The error was 'BadAlloc (insufficient resources for operation)'.
  (Details: serial 63 error_code 11 request_code 140 minor_code 19)
  (Note to programmers: normally, X errors are reported asynchronously;
that is, you will receive the error a while after causing it.
To debug your program, run it with the --sync command line
option to change this behavior. You can then get a meaningful
backtrace from your debugger if you break on the gdk_x_error() function.)

What video card are you using? What driver with it? Try opening the MP3 with totem, does the visualization work then? Thank you for your report.

This may be a duplicate of the above bug, try forcing EXA or disabling compiz and see if the issue goes away.

Disabling Compiz solves the issue (for a certain value of solved).
