Regression: Phillips webcam SPC710NC no longer works

Bug Description

Had the Phillips SPC710NC webcam working in Hardy, could capture with VLC using v4l. Worked with cheese and XawTV. Now none of these programs work with the webcam.

HI can you check please bug #282473 (i believe is this one), bug #290506, and bug #287888 in order to check if the behaviour you're having is described on one of those?

This could be a dupe from the bug #282473 and a regression-release

as this webcam uses gspca module, i'm marking this as dupe from bug #260918, please further comments in that bug.
